Cars

There’s a couple of themes I would like to explore.

Primary amongst them is the fact that for most of us there is no place to explore/enjoy fast cars safely. And as glamorous as it sounds when reading a car mag about carving up a canyon road, it’s been a long time since I have seen a deserted canyon road up here in Montreal!!!!!

But I do see a lot of rain, slush, snow, ice and mixtures thereof. I see potholes that will swallow hummers. I watched a Porsche GT3 slow down to about 15 kmh on Queen Mary before it was repaved because the car was just bottoming out.

I see cops hiding behind electrical posts, postal boxes, hedges, etc., and then leaping out the at the last minute to hand out tickets to some poor sod who usually is trying to do no more than make it home.

I keep seeing the media harping on about how speed kills. Sorry, speed does not kill, stupidity does, and driving too fast in the wrong place at the wrong time is stupidity, it’s not doing 100kmh along the Decarie Expressway at 3am!

Here’s some fun stuff to enjoy:
